This week’s featured runner is Jamie Rood!

2025 will be Jamie’s 10th year running in the St Jude Eureka to Peoria Run, making her one of our longest-standing participants. She can correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure she’s never set foot on the bus over all those years, running every single mile over all those years. That’s awfully impressive!! More importantly, she’s raised a lot of money over those years for the kids of St. Jude!

“I am blessed with two healthy children and now one healthy granddaughter. Seeing and hearing the St. Jude family stories makes me more aware how blessed we have been. I want to celebrate my good fortune by donating my time/money to those families in need.”

“Seeing the St. Jude families and their positive spirit make it all worthwhile. Knowing we are making a small difference is very emotional. I also enjoy spending the day with people with very generous hearts.”

“I run each year with my sister, brother and niece. It is so fun to gather family together to support an amazing cause.”

Thank you, Jamie, for all your hard work each year raising money to help the kids of St. Jude, and for choosing to run with us each summer. Our run is better because you are a part of it!
