2025 marks Marie\u2019s sixth year participating in the run some fashion, which has evolved into a family event. Her husband, Jeff, who has previously participated as a runner, will continue his role as the driver of the chase vehicle. Their son, Carson, who joined as a runner for the first time last year, will be returning, and their daughter, Breanna, will be participating as a runner for the first time.<\/p>\n

Marie draws inspiration for the run from her 20 years working in healthcare. \u201cMy passion has always been working with children. I have been there when we have had to tell families the devastating news that their child has cancer, and it is heartbreaking. I have also met some wonderful families, and I participate in the St. Jude run because it is an opportunity to give back and maybe restore hope in those who may feel like there is none.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite thing about the run is the time in the morning when we all get together and say a prayer then listen to stories from St. Jude patients. It is a great way to remind us all why we are there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite run would be last year\u2019s run because Jeff and I got to drive the chase vehicle, and our son Carson ran for the first time. I loved that he got to experience the run and how much impact a little community could have to help fight childhood cancer.\u201c<\/p>\n
